I purchased this a while back. And while it did it's "job" of blinking when the vehicle was rocked or significantly moved - does it deter? I highly doubt it. Another negatory: just the 2 sided adhesive that it comes with. After a hot summer day in the sun - you'll lose that adhesive and need to put on something stronger.
